The quarter was refurbished for her and was provided with essential equipment, medicines and supplies required for safe birth attendance.
With this need based support, Farzana could visit house to house for providing ante natal care and delivery services and also could cater the referral from surrounding communities at her residence. Starting in December 2008, by end of January 2010, Farzana had provided significant number of MNCH services to her community.
For this purpose, she went house to house, introduced herself and developed a rapport with her community through her visits. Besides this, she also developed close linkages with the Lady Health Workers of the area for referrals. She has conducted 237 normal deliveries without any maternal deaths since December, 2008.
